I failed.
Yesterday, I failed to have a blog posted.
I traveled to my son's home in SC yesterday to enjoy his youngest child's birthday tomorrow.
I failed this blog. And my wonderful blog readers.

My sweet husband even told me that I didn't upload it and post it.
He called me and said, "Honey, your blog is still set for last week."  ⏤ I love him.

And then my granddaughter yelled at me to look at her with her helmet riding her bike on the driveway. I forgot to download it.

I've been told if I miss one blog post, it causes my readers to not trust that I will post.

I'm new at this. It is a learning curve for me. All I can say is, I am so sorry.

I woke up this morning at 4:00 am and remembered. I got on my mobile to try to post. It wouldn't download. I wanted to write something that would give a really good excuse, then I read this:

Proverbs 10: 1-32 NLT
1. A wise child brings joy to a father;
    a foolish child brings grief to a mother.

2. Tainted wealth has no lasting value,

    but right living can save your life.
3. The Lord will not let the godly go hungry,

    but he refuses to satisfy the craving of the wicked.
4. Lazy people are soon poor;
    hard workers get rich.
5. A wise youth harvests in the summer,

    but one who sleeps during harvest is a disgrace.

6. The godly are showered with blessings;

    the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.
7. We have happy memories of the godly,

    but the name of a wicked person rots away.
8. The wise are glad to be instructed,

    but babbling fools fall flat on their faces.

9. People with integrity walk safely,

    but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed.
10. People who wink at wrong cause trouble,

    but a bold reproof promotes peace.
11. The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain;

    the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.

12 Hatred stirs up quarrels,

    but love makes up for all offenses.
13 Wise words come from the lips of people with understanding,
    but those lacking sense will be beaten with a rod.
14 Wise people treasure knowledge,
    but the babbling of a fool invites disaster.

15 The wealth of the rich is their fortress;

    the poverty of the poor is their destruction.
16 The earnings of the godly enhance their lives,
    but evil people squander their money on sin.
17 People who accept discipline are on the pathway to life,
    but those who ignore correction will go astray.

18 Hiding hatred makes you a liar;

    slandering others makes you a fool.
19 Too much talk leads to sin.
    Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.

20 The words of the godly are like sterling silver;

    the heart of a fool is worthless.
21 The words of the godly encourage many,
    but fools are destroyed by their lack of common sense.

22 The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich,

    and he adds no sorrow with it.
23 Doing wrong is fun for a fool,
but living wisely brings pleasure to the sensible.

24 The fears of the wicked will be fulfilled;
    the hopes of the godly will be granted.
25 When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away,
    but the godly have a lasting foundation.

26 Lazy people irritate their employers,

    like vinegar to the teeth or smoke in the eyes.
27 Fear of the Lord lengthens one’s life,
    but the years of the wicked are cut short.
28 The hopes of the godly result in happiness,
    but the expectations of the wicked come to nothing.

29 The way of the Lord is a stronghold to those with integrity,

    but it destroys the wicked.
30 The godly will never be disturbed,
    but the wicked will be removed from the land.

31 The mouth of the godly person gives wise advice,

    but the tongue that deceives will be cut off.
32 The lips of the godly speak helpful words,

    but the mouth of the wicked speaks perverse words.

Proverbs 10 has so many wise nuggets. The first that my eyes laid upon:

31. The mouth of the godly person give wise advice,
but the tongue that deceives will be cut off.

32 The lips of the godly speak helpful words.

E
verything I wrote seemed like an unworthy excuse so, I decided to simply apologize. I decided to lay out the truth.

Here it is:
I am so sorry,
I wasn't well enough prepared to travel to my son's.

I also allowed my grandchildren and children to take priority on that Monday.
I do not regret that, but I hope to learn from my experiences and hope to bring helpful words to you in the future.

Picture
I'm 60 yo and have lived away from this child until 4 months ago. I was either half-way around the world in Germany, or across the USA until they moved to the east coast. It is still a long drive from Blue Moon, but it isn't a plane ride.

Tomorrow is my grandson's 4th birthday. I am blessed to be with him. Had I not taken this time to be here, I would never have this memory, never have this moment, never have this treasure. An opportunity to hold a sleeping child in one's lap doesn't last for long. They are born, turn 4, turn 30 and have children of their own. They grow up. They fly away. They become warriors for God in their own worlds.

From what I can read in the above Proverb. I believe I chose well. I just did not plan well enough. I pray I will never have the poor planning pummel me again.
With God's help, may it be so.

Because He IS the I AM, i am,

Woe is me... i am undone.
I am a foolish child and lazy.
I am neither righteous nor godly nor holy.
I am not wise.
Rage, bitterness and hatred dwell in my heart.
Poverty is ever present with me.
I have been wasteful and negligent.
Lies are on my lips and in my heart;
slander slithers out of my mouth.
My heart is the heart of a fool, laden with fears.
My hopes are dashed and help is far from me.
Where is wisdom for the fool?
O Creator ... O Divine Potter!
This cracked pot, this shattered earthen vessel
cannot do as You command.
What hope is there upon this earth for me?
And so I moan.
And so I groan ...
yearn with all fallen creation for the coming of the
sons of God - the coming of Your Son, the King - redemption - the restoration of all things unto Yourself.
For I see, Father, what I am ---
The prodigal eating husks and swill.
Can I arise and go to the Father?
O Father Almighty. Help me. Help me.
Take me home.

And in his wisdom and in his timing he will. Until then we are His to bloom in the climate He has us in. I love you and pray for you.

Thankful you are here to read and respond to my rambling.

Love you Crawford. Love you! And will till Our Precious LORD calls me home. Then I'll both love and dance with you... if your not already there ... when you get there.
Love you my sweet sister.
