Robyn's Bible Reading Strategies Applied
107. The Lord Is My Shepherd 1. Today's Passage: Psalm 23 Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend. Or find the chapter NASB version on Bible Gateway here. You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages. Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the New Living Testament (NLT). 1. The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. 2. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. 3. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. 4. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and staff protect and comfort me. 5. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil My cup overflows with blessings. 6. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life. and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23 NLT 2. Oh what a wonderful treasure: Psalm 23. I always forget one of the most exciting verses in this passage. In the last year I have determined to remember it. :-) I encourage you to use the strategy Last to First with the passage. It is such a familiar one. Lest we forget how each verse is important go through and meditate on each verse. Start with verse 6. then 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Be sure to read the entire passage a few times after you've looked at it from a different angle. 3. I love you Abba, I know the members that are here do as well. We come to You this day, knowing that You see us here. Please remind us what a treasure and gift your Word is to us. Allow us to hide this very memorable passage deep in our hearts. Remind us that we can recite this passage to instill both peace and power in our lives. Thank you Daddy for all of your treasures. Some we don't understand so well. Some, like this one we hold tight. We love you. Jehoshua In Your name we pray. Amen. 4. Thank you for being here. Please leave your name and your last initial. A comment is always encouraged. Problems?
