Come To Me

1.

Today's Passage: Matthew 11: 25-30

Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend.

Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here.
You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages.

Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the
New Living Testament (NLT).

 25. At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: "O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for  hiding  these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them  to the  childlike.
26. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!

27. "My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the  Father, and  no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses  to reveal him."

28. Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will
give you rest.
29. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will  find rest for your souls.
30. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light."
Matthew 11:25-30 NLT

2.

3rd strategy for familiar passages.  Read Anew!
Read the passage from Last to First!

Sometimes we have read a passage of Scripture so many times we can't see it with new eyes.
How can we change the passage without changing the meaning?
What would we see if we take a passage and begin with the last verse and read the verses from Chapter 11.

For example: Chapter11:25-30.
  • Begin with asking God to open your heart to allow you to see these verses afresh with new eyes and hear with new ears.
  • Now begin reading Chapter 11 beginning with verse 30, 29, 28, ...
  • Does the passage change in meaning? Does it give you a new insight into it?
  • Finalize with re-reading the passage in the way it was originally written.
  • Look back over the verses. Does any one verse stand out in your heart?
  • Pray over that verse. Place it in our heart, your journal, on a 3X5 card or sticky note. Tape it in your bible, on a mirror, or on your desk.
3.

Thank you Jesus for often showing us how to pray.
We find that you are constantly teaching us how to lean into Your Father.
Thank you for giving us more structure, more understanding of You.
When we lean into God, the Three in One, we find that our souls are met with strength and courage to carry into hard places You have called us into.
Please allow us to glorify You in our obedience.
In Your Holy Name I pray,
Jehoshua,
Amen

Please leave you name and your last initial in the comments below.
If God gives you some insight, please share.
We pray for you daily.

I'm coming back to fill in

The last few pages on RR&BC have been such profound verses it has been hard for me to verbalize all that is going on in my heart.
As here it is sometimes hard to just leave my name only ( because I like... put the site together and just realized I've put some sort of requirement upon myself to always write something.

I want to say. I visit this site everyday. Often many times. Not just in the building side.
But also in the meditative side.

I ponder and pray.

Thirst for these moments.
Strive to see Him.
And just as these words remind me.

He is offering rest.
Please God let me embrace it.

The rest of my soul in the beautiful world.
Not always the fallen/
But the beautiful.
