No Proof of When It Is Written
Meditations and Prayers To Admire and Rely on God's Word

1.

Today's Passage: Psalm 119:1-8

Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend.

Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here.
You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages.

Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the
New Living Testament (NLT).

Dearest Abba,

Let us stop for a few seconds and settle.
Remove outside forces, no matter where we are.
Let us enter into your Words completely.
Prepare us to hear what you want us to hear.
Clear our minds and cleanse our hearts.
In our sweet Jesus' holy name, Yeshua, we ask this
Amen.

An Aside: Suspected to be written by King David.
An acrostic poem, one of several in the bible.
Longest chapter in the bible.
176 verses divided into 22 stanzas
Each stanza beginning with a character of the Hebrew alphabet.

Aleph.
1. How blessed are those whose way is blameless,
Who walk in the law of the LORD
2. How blessed are those who observe His testimonies,
Who seek Him with all their heart.
3. They also do no unrighteousness;
They walk in His ways.
4. Thou hast ordained Thy precepts,
That we should keep them diligently.
5.Oh that my ways may be established
To keep Thy statutes!
6. Then I shall not be ashamed
When I look upon all Thy commandments.
7. I shall give thanks to Thee with uprightness of heart.
When I learn Thy righteous judgments.
8. I shall keep Thy statutes;
Do not forsake me utterly!
Psalm 119: 1-8 NASB

1st strategy is taken from the ancients - Lectio Divina

  • Ask God to open your heart and mind to what is written in the passage.
  • Read the passage
  • Re-read the passage looking for 3 words or phrases that really resonate in your heart.
  • Write those words down.
  • Re-read the passage. Of the 3 words which 1 resonates most in your heart?
    • Ask yourself what does this word mean in my life?
    • Where do I need change/growth/revelation?
  • Write this word down. Or, remember this word throughout your day.
  • Ask God to show you meaning from the passage.
  • We read, reflect, and communicate. Share with the community.
  • Don't forget to thank God for being with you during this endeavor to find intimacy with Him.

3.

Abba,
Thank You,
You brought us here today.
Recharge us. Ignite us. Remind us who You are.
In your name Jehoshua, we pray.
Amen.

4.
Please leave your name and your last initial.
Today is open enrollment for RR&BC.
This month of August we are accepting new members.
Please pray that God will bring members.
We desire to serve.
If we are serving you, please let us know.
We also bring this format before our church in a few weeks.
Please thank God for bringing those He leads to be here.

And I will be back here tomorrow,
I hope I will see you here too.
~Robyn
