Robyn's Bible Reading Strategies Applied
200. The Exalted Servant 1. Today's Passage: Isaiah 52:4-15 Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend. Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here. You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages. Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the New Living Testament (NLT). Thank you for Your presence with us. Please open our hearts, dear LORD. 4. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "Long ago my people chose to live in Egypt. Now they are oppressed by Assyria. 5. What is this?" asks the LORD. "Why are my people enslaved again? Those who rule them shout in exultation. My name is blasphemed all day long. 6. But I will reveal my name to my people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will recognize that I am the one who speaks to them" 7. How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns! 8. The watchmen shout and sing with joy, for before their very eyes they see the LORD returning to Jerusalem. 9. Let the ruins of Jerusalem break into joyful song, for the LORD has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem. 10. The LORD has demonstrated his holy power before the eyes of all the nations. All the ends of the earth will see the victory of our God. 11. Get out! Get out and leave your captivity, where everything you touch is unclean. Get out of there and purify yourselves, you who carry home the sacred objects of the LORD. 12. You will not leave in a hurry, running for your lives. For the LORD will go ahead of you; yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind. 13. See, my servant will prosper; he will be highly exalted. 14. But many were amazed when they saw him. His face was so disfigured he seemed hardly human, and from his appearance, one would scarcely know he was a man. 15. And he will startle many nations. Kings will stand speechless in his presence. For they will see what they had not been told; they will understand what they had not heard about. Isaiah 53: 13-15 NLT
3. Thank You Abba, Please help us come to know you a little better as we see how you share Your walk with Your people in Genesis. Praising you through our hearts, we take what we have read and noted. We ask that You seal in us the important parts in our heart. In your Name, Jehoshua we pray. Amen. 4. Please leave your name and your last initial. This is really all we ask you to commit to on this page. Of course, we love when you share what God has done through the passage. But, knowing that we are private 'critters' around the globe, we don't require it. Please leave (at least) a comma in the comment box. It is not a requirement to comment. We do ask for you to leave your name and your last initial. As time goes on, and you feel more comfortable to share what God is changing in your heart for His glory, we hope you decide to share it. That is another reason we are here, to testify to God's moving us into loving Him and glorifying Him through our contact in love between each other and the world. It is a learning curve. We know. May we find courage to testify here how God is changing us moment by moment, so that we can testify to others who do not know Him. Those that are scattered across the globe. Those that need encouragement from this continent. Welcome and know you are being prayed for. Please come and share as you deem fit. Remember I am praying for you. And I will be back here tomorrow, I hope I will see you here too. ~Robyn Robyn & Biff Cox RR&BC, LLC ©2016 Problems? Please contact Biff at rrandbc@readthebiblewithrobyncox.com Want fewer emails?
