Church Divided Over Leaders

1.

Today's Passage: 1 Corinthians 1:10-17

Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend.

Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here.
You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages.

Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the
New Living Testament (NLT).

Thank You for meeting us, LORD.
We welcome you into this place.

10. I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our
LORD Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be
no divisions in the church.
Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.
11. For some members of Chloe's household have told me
about your quarrels, my dear brothers and sisters.
12. Some of you are saying, "I am a follower of Paul," Others
are saying, "I follow Apollos," or "I follow Peter," or "I follow only Christ."

13. Has Christ been divided into factions? Was I, Paul, crucified for you?
Were any of you baptized in the name of Paul? Of course not!
14. I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius,
15. for now no one can say they were baptized in my name.
16. (Oh yes, I  also baptized the household of Stephanas,
but I don't remember baptizing anyone else."
17. For Christ didn't send me to baptize, but to preach
the Good News ⏤ and not with clever speech, for fear that the
cross of Christ would lose its power.
1 Corinthians 1:10-17 NLT

8th strategy.
Choose three important verses
that speak to you today.

  • Begin by getting your heart ready to receive the words that God has laid down for us on this page. Ask Him to give you what you need to hear. Ask Him to give you the mind of Christ to be able to remember this strategy and continue it throughout the day.
  • Read the passage completely.
  • After reading the first time go back and chose the three most important verses that speak to you today.
  • Ask God to bring those verses back to you through out the day.
  • Find out if by the end of the day only one verse has been thought about more than the others.
  • Thank God for that verse.
  • This is a good strategy to use for long passages.
  • Be sure to stop and thank God for being here with you today.

3.

Praise You LORD!
Let us preach the Good News.
Let us resonate only Your power.
Because You are God.
And we,
we are your children.

In your name
Jehoshua
Amen.

"I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our
LORD Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be
no divisions in the church.
Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose."
This verse is powerful in my heart.
Watching all the Christians come together on the mission field, letting the denominations fall to the wayside as we prayed for those that did not know You God. What a powerful place to be one in YOU, Christ!

"For Christ didn't send me to baptize, but to preach
the Good News "

I pray LORD that you allow us in this place to build each other up to go OUT and share your Good News.
