Paul's Life for Christ

1.

Today's Passage: Philippians 1:20-26

Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend.

Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here.
You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages.

Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the
New Living Testament (NLT).

2.

Thank You for meeting me, LORD.
I welcome you into this place.
Please prepare my heart Jehovah.
Thank you for insight.

Paul's Life for Christ

20. For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die.
21. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.
22. But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don't know which is better.
23. I'm torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me.
24. But for your sake, it is better that I continue to live.

25. Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith.
26. And when I come to you again, you will have even more reason to take pride in Christ Jesus because of what he is doing through me.
Philippians 1:20-26 NLT

8th strategy.
Choose three important verses that speak to you today.

  • Begin by getting your heart ready to receive the words that God has laid down for us on this page. Ask Him to give you what you need to hear. Ask Him to give you the mind of Christ to be able to remember this strategy and continue it throughout the day.
  • Read the passage completely.
  • After reading the first time go back and chose the three most important verses that speak to you today.
  • Ask God to bring those verses back to you through out the day.
  • Find out if by the end of the day only one verse has been thought about more than the others.
  • Thank God for that verse.
  • This is a good strategy to use for long passages.
  • Be sure to stop and thank God for being here with you today.

4.

Thank you for coming today.
Please leave your initials and a comment.
Don't forget to check the box underneath your comment,
so replies will be directed to you.

And remember,
I pray for you every day.
And I will be back here tomorrow,
I hope I will see you here too.

—-

I have said often I would rather be with Jesus than anywhere else.

Once I heard a story about how Corrie TenBoom as an elderly woman confined to her bed - she could not understand why God didn’t take her, for He had taken her sister Betsy in the camps when she was ill. But she told her nurse, “You must need me here. God would take me if I wasn’t being used by Him.”

I want to be used by Him till the day I die! If He sees any value in my life, let it be that. He doesn’t need me. The rocks and hills will cry out! But if I can be used I offer myself to Him.
