All People are Sinners

1.

Today's Passage: Romans 3:9-20

Get to know your bible. It will become a good friend.

Or find the passage NASB version on Bible Gateway here.
You can search for other versions there as well. Versions even in foreign languages.

Or, for your convenience I have typed the verses below from the
New Living Testament (NLT).

2.

Thank You for meeting me, LORD.
I welcome you into this place.
Please prepare my heart Jehovah.
Thank you for insight.

11th strategy.
Reading... Simple Act of Meditation

Simple acts of meditation are not difficult.
If they were difficult God would not encourage every person to do them.
They are sometimes uncomfortable.
But they are always profitable.
They bring us closer to the heart of God. We are to Hide His Words In Our Hearts.

  • Take this time to read the passage one time through.
  • Then go back and read every verse separately.
  • After reading one verse just close your eyes and think about the words for a few seconds. When you are no longer considering the sweetness of God's word to you, move to the next verse.
  • Continue through the passage.
    • Loving HIM is the purpose.
    • Getting to know HIM is the purpose.
    • Allowing Him to take the day and use us in this day is the purpose.
    • Finding the sweetness He desires to impart is the joy.
  • Thank God for coming and bringing his Holy Presence into your day.

9. Well then, should we conclude that we Jews are better than others? No, not at all, for we have already shown that all people, whether Jews or Gentiles, are under the power of sin. As the Scriptures say,

"No one is righteous ⏤ not even one.
11. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God.
12. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one."
13. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies."
"Snake venom drips from their lips."
14. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.."
15. "They rush to commit murder.
16. Destruction and misery always follow them.
17. They don't know where to find peace."
18. "They have no fear of God at all."

19. Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.
20. For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
Romans 3:9-20 NLT

As I meditated on these words this morning, the two sentences that struck me:

1) They have no fear of God at all.
2) For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands.

I do fear God. Thanking my heritage for that.

I bring glory and honor to God for so mysteriously and masterfully presenting His plan for saving me. But not me alone but every person He has lovingly crafted and created, throughout time, He has chosen us to be His own. To be saved from our sin and live forever in this Kingdom of God.
